Fair Market or Strategic Value when Consolidators are at Work - Which is it?
Along with fellow FCG members Butch Williams, CPA, ABV, CBA, CVA and Jim Rigby, CPA, ABV, ASA, Mark will provide a detailed review of how a consolidator works and what they and their financiers are looking for - economies of scale, earnings growth, earnings growth and earnings growth. The concepts will be illustrated through two representative industries that have undergone rapid consolidation and de-consolidation. They will then answer the question: What are the implications for valuing a closely held business when consolidators are at work?

Mark will also present a lightning round overview of the key tricks and pitfalls in medical practice valuation.

Building on his experience working with attorneys in transactions and the litigation environment, Mark has developed a program designed to explain the basic concepts of valuation without the usual heavy reliance on mathematics.
