London Seminars

May 6th, 2011 | Healthcare Reform | Seminars & Publications

No royal wedding for me, but I will be speaking at the Royal Society of Medicine on medical practice valuation and other issues during my upcoming trip to the UK. I also be visiting again with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.

I hope to gain some insight into the Healthcare Reform movement in the UK, which is primary care risk-based, something that worked well for a time here in the USA back in the 1990s, before the backlash against Managed Care. The US model, renamed Accountable Care Organizations and Medical Homes, is likely to look very much like the 1990s, at least if it has any hope of succeeding.
